• Sang-Yun Lee, Ph.D. - President and CEO

Dr. Lee is responsible for establishing customer partnership, as well as coordinating the technology development and developing a long-term strategy for corporate growth at BeSang.

His 13 years industry experience and 5 years graduate studies focused on semiconductor devices, process integration, characterization, and modeling. Since 1989, he has engaged in research in image sensors, high speed CMOS and BiCMOS circuits, as well as embedded DRAM, SRAM, and power devices.

He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, respectively. Before founding BeSang, he held various engineering positions at Samsung, Motorola, and Integrated Device Technology.

• Junil Park - Vice President of Process Technology

Mr. Park is responsible for the process design and technology development.

He brings accumulated semiconductor process technology experience to BeSang Inc with his more than 16 years engineering and management experience at Samsung Electronics and IPS (Integrated Process Systems). He was at Samsung for 14 years and participated in the world’s first 64 Mb and 256 Mb DRAM chips. He also started up many new Samsung semiconductor fabs (Fab 4, 5, 8), including the one in Austin, TX. He has specialties in RTP, CVD, ALD, and CMP processes. Junil was awarded a 1st prize in invention at Samsung for developing the process conditions for in-situ doped Poly-Si and establishing its mass productive conditions. Recently, he successfully developed the world’s first ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) tool for high-k dielectrics for use in capacitors.

• Greg L. Martinez, J.D. - Director of Strategic IP Management

Greg L. Martinez is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in the same field.

He finished law school at Arizona State University in May of 2003, and has written patents for a diverse field of high tech companies, such as Analog Devices, Rockwell, Cree, Motorola, Hendry Telephone Products, Santa Barbara Infrared, B-K Lighting, Sloan LED, Veeco Aii, Vetronix, Altair Optics, E2O (bought out by Bookham Technologies), Trion, and Lytek. Greg has prepared hundreds original patent applications and numerous provisional applications. He also has accumulated experience in patent searches. Before BeSang, Greg worked at Koppel, Jacobs, Patrick & Heybl in Thousand Oaks, California.

• Joon Chung - Director of Operations

Joon Chung is a technical marketing specialist with 20 years accumulated experience in the semiconductor industry. He leads operations and marketing, as well as a foundry interface at BeSang. Prior to joining BeSang in 2007, he worked for 12 years with KLA-Tencor Korea focusing on various technical and marketing roles. He graduated from Yonsei University with B.S. in Material Science. Before KLA-Tencor, he began his career as an engineer at Samsung Electronics, in the Semiconductor Research and Development department. At Samsung, in 1992, he was one of the core members of the developing world's first 64 Mbitt DRAM and he was honored with the Chairman's award, "Top Technology of the Year'.
